It started with sharing content about the places in nature I visit regularly. That pull keeps bringing me back to trails that have always been part of me.

Tourism and the English language were always where my instincts leaned, though life took me toward information technology instead — a path I'm endlessly grateful for, because it's exactly what lets me build something that brings both together today: a platform that showcases the nature of Slunj and the local offer, one where my digital skills contribute directly to the community.

During my studies in Rijeka, I first stepped into the world of tourism professionally — working on data entry at a travel agency, alongside regular client communication. Later, at the Slunj Tourist Board, that experience grew into managing the website and tourist guides, designing posters and social content, running social media, and photographing local events. I got to know the town by bike, talked with tourists, and learned to spot what this place actually needed to be seen.

After finishing my studies and returning to Slunj, there hasn't been a season I haven't followed on foot or by bike along the Korana and the Slunjčica — climbing and walking through the forests, looking for hidden corners, viewpoints, springs, streams. These natural gems have always been part of me. Every season carries its own beauty, and nature, in its own time, always calls me back — to those trails, footbridges, paths, meadows, forests.

The heart of this platform is the interactive map — it brings together every nearby place in nature you can visit, depending on how much time you have, along with all the relevant information about each one.

Locally, the platform offers something more: digital visibility for those who want it — check out the advertising packages for local businesses. I'm building a digital ecosystem for Slunj and its surroundings, open to anyone who wants to explore, or wants to be found.

Behind the platform

I graduated from the Polytechnic of Rijeka with a degree in Business Information Systems, earning a Master's in Business Information Systems — and that knowledge is exactly what opened the path toward the experiences that led me, step by step, to building this platform.

I love building digital solutions that connect technology with real community needs — from system architecture to user experience. This platform is one of those projects, but it means something more to me, because it brings together everything I value: my profession, nature, and the place I call home.
